Aussie Designed and Made Wireless Network Infrastructure (4G/5G, Small Cells, Private LTE, IoT)

With its local Australian R&D and manufacturing capabilities, Warren & Brown Technologies (WBT) has continued to expand its wireless infrastructure solution offering. A major driver of this innovation has been its Hybrid fibre/DC power cable and connectivity solution, which also supports 5G network infrastructure. In addition to supporting major telco’s with its 4G/5G hybrid infrastructure solution, WBT has a number of innovative products for small cell, private LTE, IoT networks, as well as RF tails, jumpers and installation hardware consumables.

Reduced cable congestion

Due to the reduced diameter of hybrid cables, congestion is reduced on the pole, allowing more room for additional RRU and cable deployments. A ½” hybrid cable can support one mobile sector. In addition, the 7/8” hybrid cable can support up to 4 RRU’s, and the 1 ¼” hybrid cable can support up to 9 RRU’s.

Easier network upgrades

The hybrid cabling systems for multiple RRU’s only needs to be installed once. Even if it is initially servicing 1 RRU, it has spare capacity for additional upgrades for up to 9 RRU’s. Rather than deploying extra cable up the pole, a simple hybrid jumper cable from the interface box to the RRU is connected to provide an extra service.

Australian Made and local stock

The Hybrid fibre/power cabling and connectivity solution is designed and made in Australia. With junction boxes and cable assemblies being supplied pre-configured, these high-quality connectivity products provide a plug and play solution, speeding up network deployment. A number of items are held in stock and fast manufacturing times are provided.

Solution diversity

The WBT wireless infrastructure solutions have been developed and expanded to support various vendor active equipment including Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei and others. Furthermore, 7/8”, ½” hybrid cable, as well as RF products and other fibre accessories, provide an end to end network infrastructure solution to support 4G/5G, private LTE, Small cells and IoT networks.

4G/5G

4 x RRU Solution
-
7/8” Hybrid Cable

This hybrid 7/8” multi-feed trunk cable with hybrid junction box is used as part of pre-terminated solution to allow for fast and easy installation. The hybrid junction box provides 4 x hybrid terminal port connections, combining optical and DC power in one hybrid plug-and-play connector, designed to provide 4F MPO and 8F MPO RRU connections.

This system includes:

7/8” Hybrid Trunk Cable with Junction box
On one end of the hybrid trunk cable is the BBU, preterminated with 2 x 12F MTP® connectors and 4 pair of unterminated copper cables. The other is connected to the RRU via 2 x pluggable bulkhead 4-pin DC power connections, and 2 x 12F MPO connectors, located at the bottom part of the hybrid junction box.

This feature allows easy installation of the 7/8” hybrid
cable to the junction box, allowing separate access of the main
trunk cable, without disturbing the internal optical and power
wiring of the junction box.

2 Fibres, 1 Power - Hybrid Jumper Cables

4 Fibres, 1 Power - Hybrid
Jumper Cables

  • 2/4 fibre Hybrid Jumper Cable
  • Weather-proof jumper cables (Interface Box to RRU)
  • Low loss, high performance optical connectors are used
  • Provides a 48V DC power feed
  • Flexible cable supplied in a corrugated jacket

RF Tails, Jumpers & Connectors

WB Networks has a wide range of RF tails, jumpers & connectors with various lengths
and features to choose from. View our products or contact us to find out what solution is best for you.

The coaxial RF connectors (radio frequency connectors) are electrical connectors designed to work at radio frequencies in the multi-megahertz range. RF connectors are typically used with coaxial cables and are designed to maintain the shielding that the coaxial design offers.
